Toronto (October 7, 2025) — Basetwo, an AI platform for pharmaceutical manufacturers, today announced it has been selected for the third cohort of the AWS Generative AI Accelerator. Launched by Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), the AWS Generative AI Accelerator identifies top early-stage startups that are using generative AI to solve complex challenges and help them scale and grow. Participants will access AWS credits, mentorship, and learning resources to further their use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies and grow their businesses.
This opportunity will support Basetwo’s efforts to develop and scale its next generation of generative AI–driven workflows, physics AI models, and predictive control systems for highly complex manufacturing environments.
Pharma and chemical manufacturers struggle with disconnected, desktop-based tools, hindering real-time data analysis and predictive quality. This forces engineers into manual, trial-and-error methods, slowing production and increasing costs. Basetwo offers a solution: digital twin models that provide real-time understanding, troubleshooting, and optimization of manufacturing processes, helping cut costs and accelerate production while maintaining quality.
Basetwo’s proprietary platform combines domain knowledge in thermodynamics and chemistry with generative AI methods to enable process engineers to ingest and transform large amounts of disparate data; build, simulate, and optimize manufacturing processes in real time. Basetwo helps global pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, and personal care manufacturers reduce cycle time, raw material usage, energy consumption, and deviations—yielding cost and efficiency improvements of 20–40%.
Through the AWS Generative AI Accelerator, Basetwo will leverage AWS’s compute and AI stack such as Amazon Bedrock to scale its gen AI workflows and models.
